FISHING POINT
PROJECT
This expansive property on the Sea of Abaco underwent significant restoration following the devastation of Hurricane Dorian. While some resilient fruit trees were preserved, the combination of storm damage and the construction of a new home necessitated extensive re-landscaping.
A key feature of the property is its off-grid solar array, carefully screened with hedging and trees positioned to avoid shading the panels. Flowing lawns and a winding golf cart driveway are framed by native trees, palms, and vibrant beds of hardy shrubs, creating a lush and welcoming landscape.
An elevated beach area was designed along the naturally rocky shoreline, enhanced with coconut palms and a distinctive focal point: the homeowner’s antique cannon. The property also includes a functional and productive vegetable garden, blending beauty and sustainability in this thoughtfully restored coastal retreat.
