ISLAND GEM BAKERS BAY

This beautiful property on the Sea of Abaco was given new life after Hurricane Dorian caused major damage to the original house and gardens. The new owners expanded and renovated the home, with a fresh new look for the pool and surrounding landscape. We worked to save the mature palms and trees that weathered the storm, blending them into a colourful, coastal garden complete with a pool, hot tub, propane fire pit, and a big lawn for the kids and family dog. Privacy was created with a boundary wall and thick plantings of buttonwoods, seagrapes, and clusia. At the front, a tropical flowering garden and a new center island in the driveway help soften the arrival and shield direct views of the front door. Arbors were added over the pedestrian path and driveway, where bougainvillea vines will grow and fill in over time, adding even more colour and character.
