SURIANA

Suriana is a secluded cabana and garden oasis overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on Windermere Island. The client’s vision was to transform an area once partially cleared for construction and roads into a lush, verdant retreat, accessible only by a narrow path suitable for bikes or foot traffic.

We embraced the existing features of the site, including low stone walls and sunken planters, seamlessly integrating them with larger trees and palms to create a cohesive island sanctuary.

The name Suriana is inspired by the Latin name for the coastal plant Bay Cedar (Suriana maritima), reflecting its natural, coastal charm.
